Primaveral Celebration: The Festival of Sant Isidre in Masquefa

A weekend full of tradition and fun

Masquefa is preparing to host a new edition of the Feast of Sant Isidre, which will take place from May 16 to 18, 2025. This festival, which celebrates the patron saint of the town, promises a wide variety of activities designed for all ages.

The cultural importance of St. Isidore

Roger Vázquez, first Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Culture, emphasized that the party symbolizes the arrival of spring for the Masquefins. “It is an opportunity to make our streets beat alive,” he said, emphasizing that the program includes both traditions and news that will enrich the festive experience.

Highlights of the party

One of the most anticipated moments is the beans dinner, which will include the delivery of the silver beans 2025. The evening will have the performance of the duet a la carte, formed by Helena Jara and Adrià Aguilera, and will continue with a versions concert by the Loca Histeria.

More activities for all

The program also includes other classics such as the Ball de la Garlanda, a traditional waltz that will be performed by the Montgrins Orchestra, as well as a tortilla that is an essential element of the festival. In addition, the festival will host the 38th Giants Meeting and the 4th Ball Ball Meeting, with the participation of groups from various regions of Catalonia.

Activities for all tastes

The Small Festival of Sant Isidre is not limited to traditions, it offers a range of activities for all audiences. Among them will be skateboarding and scooter competitions, children’s shows, a circus workshop, a taekwondo championship, an inclusive and inflatable excursion for the little ones.

The solemnity will also have a space, with a Eucharist in honor of Sant Isidre, which will be held at 10.45 h in the parish of Sant Pere, accompanied by the voices of the Coralleta and the Coral de l’Alzinar.

The Mayor of Masquefa, Daniel Gutiérrez, has stated that ‘Sant Isidre is one of the most beloved festivals in the village’, emphasizing the importance of this celebration to demonstrate local traditions and the welcoming character of the community.
