A Community Initiative for Innovation
The Association of Organic Farming Producers of Mallorca (APAEMA) has launched an appeal to the community through the Goteo platform. The goal? Raise funds to acquire a new industrial lunchbox that will allow S’Obrador to improve its production capacity and service to small local producers.
A Unique Worker of His Kind
S’Obrador stands out as the first collective workshop in Mallorca, providing an accessible space for organic producers to transform their food. This infrastructure not only offers competitive prices, but also enables farmers to create a wide variety of value-added products.
Benefits for the Environment and the Local Economy
In addition to generating more income for farmers, the work done in S’Obrador contributes significantly to the reduction of food waste, taking advantage of surpluses and food that might otherwise end up in the trash.
An Economic Challenge That Threatens Sustainability
Despite the positive impact of S’Obrador, the entity faces a critical financial situation. Operating costs exceed revenues, threatening its viability. Miquel Coll, president of the association, underlines the need to update the equipment to maintain affordable prices for both producers and consumers.
The Key to the Future: A New Marmite
The proposed solution is the incorporation of a new marmite, an essential tool that will allow production to be scaled and the offers to be diversified. Since the previous lunchbox broke down two years ago, S’Obrador has been limited in its capabilities.
A Promising Future: The Micro-Patronage Campaign
With support covering 50% of the cost of the new machine, APAEMA seeks to mobilize the community to finance the rest through the Goteo campaign. Each contribution not only helps S’Obrador, but also strengthens the agroecological movement in Mallorca.
Rewards for Generous Contributors
Donors will not only be contributing to a noble cause, but will also receive attractive rewards, such as local products made in S’Obrador, guided tours and unique culinary experiences.
The Importance of Ecological Agriculture
APAEMA works tirelessly to promote organic agriculture as a model of sustainability, supporting local producers and preserving the island’s agricultural traditions. Its mission is fundamental for a greener and more equitable future in Mallorca.
