Proposal for the Simplification of Parking Regulations in Mallorca

The Parking Problem in Mallorca

The Pi-Proposal for the Islands party has presented a proposal to simplify the regulations that regulate the creation of car parks in population centers in Mallorca. The councilors of El Pi emphasize the need to address the problem of parking on the island, as there are a large number of vehicles and few spaces available.

The Proposal and the Need for New Parking Spaces

The councilor of El Pi, Antoni Salas, has argued that the regulations need to be simplified to allow councils to create parking lots on rustic lots close to population centers. Salas has highlighted the importance of offering deterrent parking alternatives on the outskirts of towns and cities.

The Situation in Alcúdia

The proposal was presented in Alcúdia, where they face several parking problems. The councilor of El Pi in Alcúdia, Domingo Bonnín, has noted the parking difficulties in the Port of Alcúdia and in the city of Alcúdia.

Bonnín has expressed concern about the possible closure of parking lots on rustic lots by the Council. It has highlighted the need for new parking spaces and the importance of making the regulations more flexible to solve this problem.

The Proposed Solution

Councilor Salas has urged the Council and the Government to modify the regulations to allow the creation of parking lots on rustic lots. This, according to Salas, would contribute to unleashing car congestion in the center of cities and towns and would solve the parking problem in Mallorca.

Salas concluded by calling for the empathy of the City Councils, asking them for support in this issue that directly affects citizens.
