Rubén Baraja seeks to strengthen the Valencia squad
Rubén Baraja, coach of Valencia, intends to reinforce his team with three Barça players who currently have no place in Hans-Dieter Flick’s plans. These players could leave the Catalan club this summer under favorable conditions. Although they are for sale, it is unlikely that any team will be willing to pay Joan Laporta’s asking price. Therefore, a transfer could be an interesting solution for both parties.
Anssumane Fati: an opportunity for Valencia
One of the most prominent players on the list of possible reinforcements is Anssumane Fati. Despite his talent, Fati has not managed to meet expectations at Brighton & Hove Albion, where he has not had the desired continuity. This has led the English club to make no effort to retain him. Although the departure of Xavi Hernández could have been an opportunity for Fati, coach Hans-Dieter Flick has also not considered giving him a chance in the first team.
Deco: a possible addition for the offensive plot
Another player in Valencia’s sights is Deco. The club has been ordered to find a buyer for the 21-year-old striker, but so far no one has been willing to pay the 30 million euros requested for him. Therefore, the only feasible option at this time is a transfer. Valencia considers that Deco would be a very positive addition to their offensive sector, since they have had problems in that area throughout the season.
Vitor Roque: another goal for Valencia
In addition to Anssumane Fati and Deco, Valencia also has Vitor Roque in its sights. The club paid a considerable sum for the player, but so far has not justified that investment. Roque has had very few opportunities to play and when he has, he hasn’t left a good impression. Valencia considers that a loan to another La Liga team EA Sports could be beneficial for his progression.
Eric García: Rubén Baraja’s last request
Finally, Rubén Baraja has expressed his interest in signing Eric García to strengthen Valencia’s defense. García is the coach’s last request and it is expected that the club will do everything possible to complete his signing. Valencia is looking for a quality defender after the departure of Gabriel Paulista and the possible departure of Cristhian Mosquera.
