A new chapter in the program of 1
The public chain La 1 has embraced in a new change in its afternoon grid, with the aim of revitalizing its audiences. This restructuring mainly affects two of its most followed series: ‘Valle Salvaje’ and ‘The Promise’, which will see their broadcasting schedules.
History of a Constant Dead
Since the arrival of ‘The TV family’, the schedules of the series have been a real labyrinth. Initially, ‘Valle Salvaje’ was scheduled to start at 16:50, while ‘The Promise’ emitted shortly after, at 17:40. However, the reality has been another, with a lag that has been up to twenty minutes.
Impact of the new programming
This new readjustment is largely due to the introduction of more content dedicated to the social chronicle during the first section of ‘The TV family’. As a result, ‘Valle Salvaje’ has begun at 5:15 p.m., while ‘Promise’ has changed at 6:05 p.m. Despite this bewilderment, both series have seen an increase in their audiences, with ‘Valle Salvaje’ surpassing 10% of quota and ‘the promise’ reaching 15%.
The officialization of the new schedule
According to the latest updates published on RTVE’s website, ‘Valle Salvaje’ will start at 5:30 p.m., while ‘Promise’ will be broadcast at 6:20 p.m. This means that the first block of ‘The TV family’ earns additional 15 minutes, accumulating a total of 40 minutes from its launch.
Consequences for the second section
Although the first section wins time, the second section, presented by Inés Hernand and Aitor Albizua, will see its duration reduced. Now it will begin at 19:15 and will end at 8:30 pm, just before the start of ‘Here the Tierra’, leaving only 75 minutes to deal with current issues.
Futuristic perspectives
With this new strategy, the 1 hopes to improve the audiences of ‘The TV family’, which currently runs 6% of screen share, a result that does not satisfy the expectations of the public chain. It remains to see how these changes will affect the two series and if they will be able to maintain the interest of their followers.
