Key information about new environmental regulation
The municipality of Reus has launched this Tuesday, 20 May, to a series of informed sessions aimed at citizens, with the aim of explaining the details and implications of the recently announced Zones (ZBE). This initiative is part of a wide communication programme that seeks to facilitate understanding and adaptation of the population in new environmental regulations.

The first session was particularly focused on the neighboring tissue in the city, which includes several locations in the city, such as the Cív Mite and the Cavite Center.

Commits with transparency and participation
Domors Vázquez, alderman for Citadana and Convence Security, has shown that the city council has taken account of citizens in the design of regulations that regulates the ZBE. According to Vázquez, the informed sessions are an opportunity to provide clear and relaxed information about the progressive implementation of this area, which will include a initial period of evidence without sanctions.

The regulation will begin from December 1, 2025, initially affecting the most contaminants vehicles, with sanctions for those who break the new normations. Up until December 30, 2027, this regulation will be applied only to the non environmental vehicles in Reus or not to be happy with vehicles in the city. The regulation will be delivered from December 31, 2027 vehicles in December B.
Exceptions and authorizations during the transition
In all the phases of the ZBE’s DBE marks are expected to be exemptions, morphatory and time authorizations to ensure a fluid transition and just towards a more sustainable mobility model.
