Reus promotes an ambitious asphalted plan to improve mobility

Start of asphalted work in Reus

From Tuesday, March 18, the city of Reus will begin to undergo a significant transformation with the start of asphalting work in seven streets of streets. This initiative, which is part of the Public Road Department Plan, is scheduled to last a month, ending on April 8. The company Alfalcno Obras y Servicios SA has been selected to carry out these works, with a total budget of 192,583.60 euros.

A PLA INTEGRAL PER A THE PUBLIC VIA

Asphalt work is not an isolated effort, but rather is part of a wider plan that seeks to improve the infrastructure of the city. The 2024 Investment Plan provides for a total of 2.1 million euros for actions that include sidewalks, pedestrian crossings, children’s play areas, gardening, lighting and, of course, asphalted. According to the Councilor for Public Road, Daniel Marcos, these initiatives are the result of active listening to the needs of citizens.

3. ** Calle del Pare Manyanet **: Asphalt scheduled for March 19, with later work on 20 and 21.
4. ** Roundabout of the streets of Sor Lluïsa Estivill with Joan Bertran **: Asphalted on March 20, with paint on the 21st.
5. ** Calle Prades **: Asphalted on March 20 and 21, with painting work on 24.
6. ** Paseo dels bananas **: Asphalted on March 24, with painting work on 25 and 26.

Improvements in industrial estates

In addition to the streets of the city, the Plan of Asphalt includes actions in the roads of the industrial estates. This contract has also been awarded to Alfalcno Obras y Servicios SA, with a budget of 205,700 euros. The roads that will be paved include:
– Calle Recasens i Mercadé, section to Ignasi Iglésies Street.
– Calle Recasens i Mercadé, roundabout with Ignasi Iglésies.
– Recasens i Mercadé Street, section to Víctor Català Street.
– Calle Ignasi Iglésies.
