Ronçana School expands its ability to meet the growing demand

Appropriate of the Group d’I3 to Sana Eulaila

The Ronçana School, located in Santa Eulàlia, is about to start a new chapter in its educational history, from a single group from i3 to two for the next course. This decision, recently reported by the Department of Education to the City Council, responds to the remarkable demand recorded during the pre -enrollment period.

Responding to educational need

With a total of 68 pre -registrations, surpassing the 60 places offered initially, both the Ronçana school and the Sagrera have been forced to adjust their capacity to welcome all students. Specifically, La Ronçana has received 25 applications as the first option, while La Sagrera has attracted 43 pre -registrations.

Keeping adequate ratios

Thanks to this increase, the Ronçana school will be able to maintain a proportion of students less than 20 per group, as recommended by the Department of Education. This measure seeks to guarantee quality and personalized attention for each student.

Growth factors

The Councilor for Education, Mònica Pons, emphasized that the increase in I3 students in the municipality, from 56 to 86 in just one year, may be linked to the increase in population experienced in Santa Eulalia. “From the pandemic, our population has grown in 2,000 people,” said Pons, emphasizing the relevance of this factor.

Un futur promissor

The City Council had previously requested the creation of a second group at the Ronçana School, with the aim of prioritizing the students in the Rieral area. Pons said that the division into two school areas could be beneficial, but acknowledges that this decision is not dependent on the City Council.

One year of celebrations

The expansion of the I3 group coincides with the 60th anniversary of the Ronçana School, which has recently celebrated. The center, which had previously operated with two lines before the creation of La Sagrera School, will receive a split of groups at various educational levels from September.

The case of the Joan Solans School

On the other hand, in Granollers, the Joan Solans School has obtained permission to accept two more students at I3, thus surpassing the initial limit of seven brothers. These registrations, which come from the district of Sant Miquel, have been approved despite the fact that students have no other siblings at the center.

Inclusion policies

New students do not have special educational needs, a condition that the Department of Education seeks to prevent school segregation. Currently, the waiting for the publication of the final offer is maintained on June 16, which will clarify the distribution of places for the next course.
