A program of inclusive activities
Solsona and the region of Solsonès join for another year the commemoration of the International Day of LGBTI Pride. With the aim of liberating and claiming the rights of the lesbian, gay, transsexual, bisexual and intersex group, a program of activities has been organized for families and the general public.
On Friday at 8 pm, a rally will be held at the Solsona Castle portal to claim the rights of the LGTBI group. Accompanied by the association of percussion and rhythms of the world, La Percuteria, they will go down to the town hall to read the manifesto for LGBTI liberation. This will be the first act of the program that carries the slogan ‘De touts colors’.
Activities for all audiences
On Saturday morning, there will be activities aimed at all audiences, especially families. The company La Tribu Juganera will offer the show ‘Tales without stories’ at eleven in the morning in Plaça del Camp. In addition, throughout the morning, artistic proposals will be made to promote respect for emotional and sexual diversity.
Round table on older people and LGTBIQ+
On Tuesday at seven in the evening, the Carles Morató library will host a round table with the title ‘Old people and LGTBIQ+. We talk about it’. This activity will have the participation of the Fundació Enllaç, which defends the rights of older lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people. The event will be moderated by the journalist Anna Pujol and will be attended by Josep Maria Mesquida, president of the entity, Paulina Blanco and Joan Sebastià Martí.
International LGBTI Pride Day
June 28 is the main day to claim LGTBIQ+ rights around the world. This date commemorates the Stonewall riots, in New York, on the same day in 1969, when the violation of rights and social repression against this group was reported for the first time.
Organization of activities
The events that will take place in Solsona are co-organized by the Feminism department of Solsona City Council and the Regional Council, through the Comprehensive Care Service (SAI).
