Beginning of a New Era for Families
The city of Solsona is approaching families with ‘La Matriu’, an initiative specially designed for children between the ages of 0 and 6. This innovative program will start next week with the aim of creating a space of support and learning for parents.
Spaces Dedicated to Parenting and Psychomotricity
The project is structured in two parts: the Family Space, which will offer an environment to share experiences on raising children under 3 years old, and psychomotor sessions aimed at children aged 2 to 6.
Professionals at the forefront
Educational psychologist Júlia Tobeña and teacher Sílvia Sala will be in charge of energizing these activities, contributing their experience and knowledge to guarantee quality support.
Schedules and Access to Activities
Starting on Thursday the 20th, the Family Space will open its doors at the Xavier Jounou civic and community center with weekly sessions at two times to choose from: from 10 am to 12 pm and from 4 pm to 6 pm. Participation is free, although places are limited and prior registration is not required.
A Step Forward in Parenting Support
The Councilor for Children, Pilar Viladrich, highlights that this project seeks to balance the offer of municipal activities, which until now had focused on children from the age of 6. In addition, the Councilor for Feminism, Maria Moumen, emphasizes the importance of creating support networks for mothers and fathers, with a feminist perspective that combats isolation.
Benefits for Children and Families
According to Júlia Tobeña, the Family Space will not only provide an environment for play and learning, but will also facilitate a space for exchange between families, fostering a climate of trust and professional support.
Dynamic Activities in Psychomotor
The Psychomotor Space will offer children support that will promote their freedom of movement and creativity. The sessions will include entry and exit rituals, as well as spaces for emotional and creative expression, all aimed at enhancing the children’s individual skills.
Educational Cycles for Families
In addition to these activities, quarterly talks focused on education and parenting will be scheduled, which will be open to all interested families, with the aim of enriching knowledge about this crucial stage of development.
With the support of the departments of Childhood and Feminism, ‘La Matriu’ is positioned as a comprehensive project for early childhood, with registrations that can be made on the same day of each session, thus guaranteeing inclusion and accessibility for all.
