A concert to remember
On May 16, Tarragona will prepare for a special day with the 30th anniversary of the Municipal Music School. The Fair and Congress Palace will be the setting for a concert that will begin at 6:30 pm and will bring together students of all levels, from the smallest to the most advanced.
A varied and creative program
Attendees will enjoy a rich variety of performances, including choirs, combos and instrumental ensembles. Actress Neus Pàmies will be responsible for guiding the event, while the illustrations by the artist Octavi Torné will add a unique visual touch to the celebration.
A three -decaded musical legacy
Founded in 1994, the Municipal Music School of Tarragona has been a fundamental pillar in the city’s music education. With constant growth, it has served thousands of students over the years, with more than a thousand students enrolled each year.
Innovative projects
Since 2006, the school has expanded its offer with projects such as Picantols, aimed at children from 0 to 3 years old, and Mirasona, who works with special education schools. In addition, collaborations with ordinary schools have allowed more children to bring music through classes of instruments such as guitar, violin and choral singing.
Access to music for everyone
The school offers a wide range of programs through three locations: Armanyà, Sant Pere and Sant Pau, and Ponent. This diversity of spaces allows music closer to different communities and ages, ensuring that everyone can enjoy quality musical training.
The importance of music education
Music is not only an artistic discipline, it also contributes to the social and personal development of individuals. The Municipal Music School of Tarragona recognizes the importance of music education as a fundamental right and has been a driving force for cultural growth for the city.
A look into the future
With this 30th anniversary, the school is committed to continuing to expand its initiatives and projects, ensuring that music is still accessible to everyone. This Friday’s concert not only celebrates the past, but also marks the beginning of a new stage in its educational mission.
