An Initiative to Discover Italian Gastronomy

‘Taste-It’ is an initiative of the Italian Trade Association of Barcelona with the support of the Italian Consulate in Barcelona and the Italian Institute of Culture. The aim of this event is to bring Italian regional culinary tradition closer to lovers of Italian gastronomy, offering an authentic and educational experience.

A Different Proposal

In this sixth edition, ‘Taste-It’ wants to highlight not only Italian gastronomy, but also other cultural manifestations that are typical of Italy, such as music and theater. This event offers a complete experience, where visitors can enjoy delicious Italian cuisine as well as various musical and stage performances.

A Great Variety of Dishes

The Grimaldi Terminal in the port of Barcelona will become a vibrant space on May 25, with covered tables and chairs so that visitors can enjoy the varied restaurant offer. The dishes will be available at affordable prices, with options ranging from €6 to €9. Visitors will have the opportunity to taste more than 20 savory and sweet dishes that represent the authentic flavors of the 20 regions of Italy.

The Participants

In this edition, ‘Taste-It’ has the participation of 14 Italian restaurants that will offer a wide variety of regional and unpublished dishes. Some of the proposals include tonnarelli with cheese and pepper, fusillo avellinese, fried pizza, panino with octopus and allada, among others. There will also be a large selection of artisan ice creams and typical Italian sweets for dessert lovers.

A Cultural Experience

In addition to gastronomy, ‘Taste-It’ offers a unique cultural experience. There will be musical performances by several DJs, live music with Calabrian folk and pizzica, as well as Italian-Brazilian samba. This combination of music and performing arts will liven up the atmosphere and make visitors feel immersed in the Italian spirit.

Workshops and Talks

For those interested in learning more about Italian cuisine, ‘Taste-It’ offers a series of workshops and talks. These workshops will allow participants to discover the secrets of making fresh pasta and learn to prepare quality Italian dishes. There will also be talks about Italian culinary culture and the importance of quality ingredients.

An Unforgettable Experience

The ‘Taste-It’ event will take place from noon to 1am. There will be a free bus service that will connect the bus stop 88 Moll Sant Bertran – Moll Barcelona with Terminal Grimaldi. This event promises to be an unforgettable gastronomic and cultural experience for all lovers of Italian cuisine.
