Teià celebrates theatrical creativity with a vibrant festival

A day full of art and expression

Last Saturday, March 29, Teià experienced an unforgettable day full of artistic activities that captivated the attendees. With the festival as a backdrop, visitors enjoyed conferences and theatrical performances designed to meet all tastes.

The magic of dramatized itineraries

As usual, the day started with dramatized itineraries, a unique proposal that connects the festival with the rich theatrical tradition of the town. In small groups, the viewers traveled emblematic spaces, where local actors performed short scenes that reflected the experiences of classic figures in Catalan dramatic literature.

A tribute to local history

One of the most moving moments was the representation of the first scene of ‘L’Auca del Mr. Esteve’ in a centenary haberdashery, Ca l’Olivé. The privacy of this space allowed the interpreters and the public to share a special moment that remembered the past times of this establishment.

Literary and creative encounters

At the same time as the dramatizations were carried out, the Can Llaurador Library hosted a group of reading clubs. This meeting was an opportunity to exchange experiences on theatrical literature and discuss its impact on local culture.

Presentation of new works

One of the outstanding presentations was the first volume of the collection ‘Letterscenes’, which includes stories inspired by the previous edition of the festival. The authors Carles Batlle and Ada Castells shared their experiences during their residence in Teià, revealing how their environment influenced their works.

Discussions about theater and literature

Later, in Plaça de Sant Martí, several authors shared their perspectives on the intersection between theater and other literary genres. These conversations showed the richness of cultural heritage and the need to preserve and transmit these traditions to new generations.

Reflections on cultural legacy

Discussions addressed topics such as the importance of conserving cultural legacies and how they can be passed on to future generations. The need to keep the connection with the past alive became a recurring theme among the speakers.

An inspiring end

The day concluded with a conversation between actor Lluís Homar and curator Xavier Albertí, who reflected on the importance of theater as a space for personal and professional growth. Homar emphasized how the interpretation of the characters can transform the vision of the actors and the audience.

With the celebration of this fourth edition of the festival, Teià not only celebrated its theatrical tradition, but also opened a dialogue on cultural identity and the value of contemporary creation. The day left a sense of renewal and hope for the future of theater and literature in the region.
