A campaign to promote local trade
The ‘Balearic Vouchers’ campaign started this Wednesday and will last until June 30. With a record participation, the campaign has 1,188 participating businesses and 91,680 discount vouchers. This initiative is promoted by the Ministry of Business, Employment and Energy through the General Directorate of Business, Self-Employed and Trade, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Mallorca. The main objective of the campaign is to promote local trade and support the merchants of the Balearic Islands.
Increase in participating businesses
Compared to the previous call, the number of participating businesses has increased by 5%. The island of Mallorca has the largest number of affiliated establishments, with 80% of the total. Menorca has 13% of participating businesses, while Ibiza and Formentera have 1%. As for the municipalities, Palma, Manacor, Inca, Ciutadella and Maó are the ones that have recorded the most registrations.
Economic support for consumers
The Ministry of Business, Employment and Energy has allocated €1,375,200 for the ‘Balearic Trade Bonds’ campaign. This allows consumers to enjoy up to four vouchers, with a maximum of €60. The vouchers can be used at the time of payment, and for every €30 of purchase, the customer will get a €15 voucher. This initiative not only benefits consumers, but also supports the self-employed and small businesses of the Balearic Islands.
