The candidacy of ERC Reagrupament Independentista in Central Catalonia presents its candidate

Marc Gès and Aleix Andreu confirmed as candidates

The current of ERC Reagrupament Independentista (RI) has announced its candidacy in Central Catalonia with the aim of promoting a renewing policy. Marc Gès has been confirmed as a candidate, together with Aleix Andreu, who is running for the position of organizational secretary.

Two candidacies confirmed at the ERC regional congress

The ERC regional congress in Central Catalonia will have two confirmed candidacies. One headed by Jordi Serra, close to the current management, and the other, led by Marc Gès, representative of the critical sector.

Objectives and proposals of the candidature

RI’s candidacy proposes a change in political strategy, with the aim of decentralizing responsibilities within the party and encouraging the participation of more members. Marc Gès, current regional president of Bagès, proposes a greater transfer of information and the limitation of terms of office.

Future and objectives of the candidacy

In case of acceding to the presidency, the candidacy of RI seeks to increase the number of militants, strengthen the local sections and prepare for the municipal elections in 2011.
