The diplomatic crisis between Argentina and Spain

The Argentine president is not worried

The diplomatic crisis between Argentina and Spain does not worry the president of the Ibero-American country, Javier Milei. In fact, he only aggravates it with each of his public interventions. In the last one, during the presentation of his book ‘Capitalism, socialism and neoclassical trap’ at the Luna Park in Buenos Aires, the Argentine president criticized the Spanish government for “having treated him as a misogynist” and highlighted the role of women in your government. All this while listening to the chants of his followers about the Spanish president: “Sánchez, compadre, la conya de tu mare”. The Argentine president, unleashed, has interrupted his speech several times to shout “chainsaw”.

The role of women in the Argentine government

Milei has defended the role of women in her government, even though she has only three women and the rest are all men. He recalled that just coming to the government cut the ministries in half. For example, the Minister of Human Capital, Sandra Pettovello, also heads Education, Social Development, Labour, Social Security and Gender. “In Spain I was treated as a misogynist, but when you look at the composition in terms of percentage participation of women, our government has more than 30%. And not only that, if you remember, we arrived with 16 ministries and took them to eight. If we take into account the amount of ministries that Pettovello absorbed, 70 percent of the structure is managed by women, that is to say, I am basically a calzonazos”, said the president of Argentina. The other two women with positions in his government are the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Religion, Diana Mondino, and the Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich, who already held this position between 2015 and 2019 under the Mauritian Administration Macri

Extra hours for the Minister of Foreign Affairs

The politician, totally angry with Sánchez and shouting “chainsaw”, has also joked about the importance the Minister of Foreign Affairs is having in this diplomatic crisis with Spain. “Diana Mondino will ask me overtime for the diplomatic crisis”, laughed the Argentine president, who is not too concerned about the tensions with the Spanish government. In fact, his followers don’t care much about the consequences of these tensions either. A man dressed as El Zorro was even seen in the audience.
