This charming spectacle is the hallmark of the new Japanese restaurant, Scapar, which will open its doors on July 1. Located on a quiet street next to Turó Park, the restaurant is conceived by experienced chef Kouichi Kuwabara, who has worked in renowned establishments such as Celler de Can Roca and Dos Palillos de Albert Raurich. With a history of 14 years, Kuwabara has designed Scapar as an artificial oasis, a sensory experience that seeks to offer an escape from the rush and stress of everyday life.
An Exceptional Gastronomic Proposal
Scapar presents a unique culinary proposal, based on the ‘omakase’ format, which offers a succession of small dishes made with the best product available each day. Diners will be able to enjoy this experience from Monday to Thursday nights, and on Fridays and Saturdays both at noon and at night, for a price of €200 (reservations by mail only).
During the day of testing prior to the opening, more than a dozen small dishes were tasted, highlighting creations such as tomato dashi, shrimp head sembei, edamame tofu with Padrón pepper sauce, crab sushi marinated in soy sauce and whiskey, tuna sangatxo with chocolate, as well as exquisite desserts such as leche flan with vanilla, yuba and strawberries.
In addition, it is anticipated that Scapar will continue to perfect its dishes, mature quantities and offer a wide liquid variety starting in July, consolidating its exceptional gastronomic proposal.
