A festive evolution
This Saturday, July 20, Capdepera is filled with energy with the second edition of the Caparruts festival. Born in 2023, this event was created to satisfy the need for festive spaces where you can enjoy urban music in Catalan. This year, the festival is presented with more force and in an expanded format.
Growing after success
After the surprising success of the first edition, Caparruts is back with even greater expectations. Last year, the line-up included four artists, with Figa Flawas as the headliner, and managed to keep the audience dancing all night long. The organisers, three young people from Capdepera, decided that Caparruts should evolve from a village party to a festival with limited capacity and more surprises for the public. ‘We will have more artists, a bigger stage and more hours of urban music in Catalan’, they emphasise.
New location and longer duration
The location chosen for the 2024 edition is the parking lot of the Capdepera municipal swimming pool. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the festival will continue until 5 a.m., offering a long-lasting festive experience. Tickets are available on TicketIB at very affordable prices.
A poster full of talent
The lineup of artists for this year includes some of the most prominent names in urban music in Catalan. Firstly, the trio Fades will perform, made up of two Mallorcans and a Catalan, who fuse pop, house and urban music with striking lyrics. The Lleida pop group Sexenni will also perform, known for their fresh melodies and their collaborations with other important artists.
The Mallorcan artist Xisk, with her style close to trap and electronic music, will also be present, offering lyrics about heartbreak and intimate themes. In addition, Dani6ix & Izzkid, two young Catalans who are gaining popularity with their reggaeton and urban style, will join the event.
Headlining the festival
The headliners for this edition are Flashy Ice Cream and Maria Jaume. The first, two young people from Sabadell, have been combining trap, rap and reggaeton since 2019 and will present their latest EP, recorded in Argentina, for the first time in Mallorca. Maria Jaume, the Mallorcan composer, will delight you with songs from her album Nostàlgia Airlines, a work that mixes pop and indie and has been a success since its release.
Collaborations and support
The organisers are once again betting on urban music in Catalan, with collaborations from content creators such as Toni Horrach and Toni Rabassó, and podcasters Anam Fent and Vaca Eixuta, who will contribute to the musical atmosphere of the event. In addition, DJs such as Plan-ET and Quebradu will also participate.
Institutional and commercial support
This event has the valuable support of the Capdepera City Council, the Institut d’Estudis Balears, Estrella Damm and the Obra Cultural Balear. Thanks also to the sponsorship of Laccao, Quely, Coca Cola and Joves de Mallorca per la Llengua, even more surprises will be offered to attendees.
Tickets are now available and can be purchased through the link on TicketIB. Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of this unique festive experience.
