The magic of the Three Kings transforms Balsareny

A January 5th full of emotions

Every year, the magic of the Christmas holidays culminates with the arrival of the Three Kings, a tradition that fills the little ones with excitement. This January 5th, Balsareny experienced a special day that, unlike the previous year, was marked by pleasant weather and no rain.

The Cavalcada: a spectacle of light and color

As the sun set, the village streets were filled with music and colors during the Cavalcade. The Kings, accompanied by their pages, paraded amid a sea of smiles and anticipation, while the bells rang to announce their arrival.

A moment of reverence

The first stop of the Three Kings was at the parish church, where they presented their offerings to the Child Jesus. In an atmosphere of solemnity, Monsignor Antoni Bonet addressed the public, highlighting the importance of the symbolic gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh, as well as the need to offer values such as love and peace.

Message of generosity and respect

In the Town Hall Square, Mayor Glòria Casaldàliga welcomed the Kings with an emotional speech. She highlighted the offerings of the town, such as the key, which symbolizes hospitality, and the bread and salt, which represent coexistence and community. She called on the Kings to be attentive to the needs of the most vulnerable.

A reminder of values

Melchior, the White King, shared a deeply resonant message, recalling the journeys of the Kings and the hopes of the children, but also the sad realities seen in Balsareny. He urged the community to respect what is common and work together for a better future.

A night to remember

After the words of the Kings, the celebration moved to the Church Square, where they welcomed all the children who wanted to share their hopes. The night culminated with the distribution of gifts, a long-awaited moment that fills the hearts of the little ones with joy.

Thanks to everyone involved.

This edition of the festival has been a success thanks to the dedication of the Three Kings Committee and the collaboration of all the residents. The magic of this night, which will last throughout the year, reminds us of the importance of community and shared love.
