More than 5,000 spectators enjoyed the outdoor artistic proposals
The show of performing arts in Carrer del Morell has continued to grow year after year. In its 9th edition, more than 5,000 people came to the Morell between Thursday 4 April and Sunday 7, to enjoy the fourteen shows that included circus, music, dance and outdoor theatre.
According to Miquel Roig, head of Culture and Festivals at the Morell Town Hall, this success is a source of pride for the locality, highlighting the constant growth in the number of participants and consolidating the festival as a benchmark in the territory.
The council’s technicians, David Ayza and Oriol Figueras, have also positively assessed the public’s response, ensuring that diverse shows are offered, of all genres and for all ages, with a very positive response from both the youngest and of adults
Street culture and local participation
Among the outstanding proposals is the Talent Factory, where young Morelleans from neighboring towns showed their skills, as well as circus performances such as Mute, Zloty, Latas, La piedra de madera and the Amal dance proposal.
The mayor, Eloi Calbet, was also satisfied with the success of this new edition, highlighting the excitement of seeing the streets and spaces of Morell full to enjoy street culture, with such enriching proposals as those that could be witnessed.
Student participation and civic engagement
It should be noted that, for the third consecutive year, a group of students from INS El Morell participated in organizational tasks. This initiative is part of a collaboration agreement between the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya and Morell City Council in relation to the Community Service Project, promoting the civic commitment of ESO youth and their social and civic skills.
