Historical Agreement for the Health of Badalona
The Badalona City Council and the Ministry of Health of the Generalitat de Catalunya have reached an agreement for the transfer of land where the new Primary Care Center (CAP) Sant Crist will be built. This decision, long -awaited, has marked a significant moment in improving the city’s health services.

Mayor Xavier Garcia Albiol and the Minister of Health, Olga Pané, made the announcement during the inauguration of CAP El Gorg, another facility that has been well received by the citizens. Albiol expressed his satisfaction with this new project, emphasizing that the City Council has already obtained the necessary approval of the Generalitat to advance with the planning of the land.
A project on the horizon
According to the counselor, only the project is approved by the plenary session of the City Council, but the selected plot meets the needs of the functional plan. Pané added that the goal is for the new CAP to be included in the 2026 budgets, thus accelerating the implementation process.
Inauguration of CAP El Gorg: an example of health improvement
The day began with a visit from the counselor to the City Council, where she signed the book of honor and received a symbolic gift from the mayor. Later, they visited the newly opened towards the Gorg, which offers services to more than 9,000 users in the neighborhood, who had previously had to go to other farther centers.
