The number of companies in Andorra is growing

A significant increase

In Andorra, there has been a notable increase in the number of companies in operation, according to the trade register data published by the Department of Statistics. As of March 31, a total of 12,566 businesses had been registered, representing an increase of 1.1% in just three months, with 131 more businesses than at the end of 2023.

Compared to the same period of the previous year, an increase of 6.6% has been observed, with 776 more establishments. This growth is mainly led by three areas: professional, scientific and technical activities, activities linked to information and communication, and construction, with increases of 14%, 15.3% and 8% respectively.

Areas with slowing and growth

Despite this general growth, a slowdown has been observed in the hospitality industry (-0.3%) and in transport and storage (-0.8%). In the case of trade, although growth of 2.6% was recorded, the last quarter showed a downward trend (-0.4%).

Geographical distribution of businesses

Andorra la Vella continues to be the parish with the most businesses (4,308), although it is not the one experiencing greater growth. This distinction goes to Escaldes-Engordany (8.6%), Sant Julià (7.3%) and Canillo (almost 10% in just one year).
