A collective triumph in an intense competition
Sports Penedès has won a remarkable third place in the recent Promotion Catalonia Cup, a competition that has brought together 40 athletics clubs throughout the region. This success must be held not only for the classification, but also for the outstanding performance of its younger athletes.
Athletes leaving imprint
Among the participants, Gerard Garcia has been one of the most prominent figures, succeeding in the Javelin Initiation test and achieving a respectable sixth place in length. Other athletes have left their mark, such as Victoria Baró, who took third place in high jump and the fifth in weight. Naia Pérez, with a prominent fourth place in 60 meters smooth, and Gala Martínez, who shone both in 400 meters smooth and in Javelina, also contributed to the success of the team.
A promising relief
The 4×200 meter relief team showed a great competitive spirit, finishing in a deserved fourth place. Gerard Garcia and Gala Martínez joined forces with Owen Merchant and Lara Saldanya to deal with rivals.

In another sporting event, this weekend will be held in Sabadell the final of Catalonia in indoor track for the sub-12 and sub-14 categories. Sports Penedès will be represented by eleven athletes, who hope to do well and compete with determination.
Leadership and potential
Among the participants, Leire Burzuri, a promising U-12 athlete, stands out as a favorite in the 2000 meters, where he broke the record of Catalonia with a time of 6’51 “45.
Competence in various disciplines
Arlet González, with a second place in Under-12 weight and a third in 200 meters smooth, will look for shining in this final. Other athletes such as Aina Guardiet, Andy Osarumwense and Noa Requena will also be added, waiting for positive results.
Expectations in U-14
In the Under-14 category, Júlia Ferré positions itself among the best, with participation in the end of jumping and length jump, where it has achieved a better jump of 4.45 meters. Enis Riol will also compete in the same tests, and has shown an excellent time of 27 “89 in 200 meters smooth.
