The Pyrenees of Lleida stands out as a tourist destination at the B-Travel

Inauguration of the B-Travel in Barcelona

The Montjuïc Fairgrounds in Barcelona hosted the opening of the B-Travel Hall on Friday, an event that brings together the best tourist attractions in the country. Among the attendees were the Vice President of the Tourism Board of the Diputación de Lleida, Juan Antonio Serrano, and the director of the body, Juli Alegre.

Promotion of the Pyrenees and the lands of Lleida

During the contest, the Pyrenees and the lands of Lleida are presented as ideal destinations to enjoy the Easter and summer holidays, as well as for weekend getaways. The Tourism Board has focused its efforts on highlighting the natural, cultural attractions and adventure activities offered by the region.

Active gastronomy and tourism

In addition to adventure sports, the Board of Trustees has highlighted the gastronomic experiences that characterize the region, including oleotourism activities, the wine route and visits to agri -food farms. This approach is similar to that presented at the Fitur Fair in Madrid, with the aim of promoting the authentic flavor of the Earth.

Positive results in the tourism sector

Serrano shared the positive data that indicates a good start of 2025 for the hotel sector in the region. According to statistics from the National Statistics Institute, the number of visitors has grown, from 185,915 by 2024 to 191,177, with a similar increase in overnight stays.

Expectations for the Easter campaign

These results are a good omen for the Easter campaign, which promises to combine ski activities with other outdoor sports. However, the data of the campsites and the rural tourism houses will not be available until the beginning of April.

Commitment to sustainability

Juli Alegre also participated in the B-Travel-Biosphere Tourism Sustainability and Competitiveness Forum, which discussed the importance of sustainability in tourism. Currently, the Pyrenees and the lands of Lleida have the distinction of Biosphere Gold Destination, and the Board of Trustees is working to help more companies get this certification.

Accreditation for companies and facilities

Recently, 21 companies and facilities of Pallars Sobirà and Alt Urgell have received accreditation of the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism, reflecting a growing commitment to sustainable practices in the sector.

Free access for visitors

The Tourism Board has facilitated free access to the B-Travel for members of the Friends of Lleida club, providing a code to manage the pass through the show’s website, an initiative that promotes participation and support for local tourist promotion.
