97% of Catalan students have successfully passed the mandatory phase of the university entrance test (PAU 2024) of this year’s ordinary call, allowing them to access university in the next academic year 2024-2025. This figure represents an increase compared to previous years, consolidating the positive trend of recent years.

Highlights

In this year’s tests, a total of 42,550 students registered, of which 41,736 appeared, indicating a high participation in the call.

Of the total number of students present, 33,960 completed the five subjects of the general phase, while 7,776 students appeared only in the specific phase, which is voluntary.

Of the 33,960 students who took the compulsory phase, a total of 32,946 students passed it, maintaining a high pass rate of 97% for the fourth consecutive year.

The results broken down by gender show that both women and men have achieved a similar percentage of passes, with 97.01% and 97.02% respectively.

Stability in the Middle Notes

Both the average PAU grade (6.747) and the average college entrance grade (7.276) have remained stable, demonstrating the consistency in student performance on these tests.
