The PSC, led by Salvador Illa, is headed for the parliamentary elections with a favorite position. The various polls agree to place them as the main point of reference in this upcoming election.
The new structure of the party
With the aim of promoting new leadership within the party, Salvador Illa has announced the renewal of its structure. The until now spokeswoman for the parliamentary group, Alicia Romero, will occupy the number two position of the Socialists, while the general secretary of Unites per Avançar, Ramon Espadaler, will remain number three.
Continuity along the lines of the previous elections
Compared to the previous elections, the Socialists maintain a similar structure, with the aim of replicating the successes achieved in these elections.
Candidates by constituency
In the constituency of Barcelona, names such as Esther Niubó Cidoncha, Ferran Pedret i Santos, or Rocío García Pérez, among others, stand out as possible candidates for the PSC. In Girona, Sílvia Paneque Sureda will lead the candidacy, while in Tarragona Rosa Maria Ibarra i Ollé will do so. In Lleida, the candidacy will be headed by Óscar Ordeig Molist.
Line of substitutes
In addition to the main candidates, the role of substitutes is also highlighted, such as Gina Pol Borràs, Juan Márquez López, or Jésica Pérez Carbonell, in the case of Barcelona. In Girona, names like Yolanda Aguilar Gallego, or José (Pepe) Rodríguez Fontao occupy this position. In Tarragona, substitutes like Josep Lluís Cusidó i Prats or Maria José Gómez Fernández stand out, while in Lleida, there are names like Teresa Guinesta Riera or Teresa Guinesta Riera.
