The Festival Organization
The entity in charge of organizing the Caracol Festival is FECOLL. This federation brings together the participating groups and is dedicated to ensuring the success of the festival. Since its founding in 1985, FECOLL has worked hard to promote culture and recreation in the region.
A Unique Gastronomic Space
The Fecoll restaurant, run by renowned chef Lluís Ariño, is the perfect place to enjoy local cuisine. With more than 40 years of experience, Ariño offers homemade and authentic dishes, highlighting, of course, snails, one of the region’s star dishes.
A Festival Full of Tradition
The Caracol Festival, also known as Aplec del Caragol, is a celebration that takes place every May in Lleida. For three days, the city comes alive with the participation of 119 groups and more than 15,000 people. This gastronomic festival is considered one of the most important in Catalonia.
Gastronomic Delights
In addition to the famous Lleida snails with aioli, the Snail Festival offers a variety of delicious dishes. Among them are the pork ear with garlic and the homemade meatballs with tomato sauce. And for dessert lovers, the Lleida ears with ratafía portet and the Lleida pears are a true delight.
An unforgettable experience
