A new era of challenges
Catalan politics is at a time of turning, where parties like ERC and together have changed dynamics. Instead of directly confronting the state, they are now competing for concessions that seem more and more inadequate. This new scenario, known as the post-process post, is characterized by the desperate research of results that, in many cases, do not materialize.
Historical agreements and promises that do not arrive
With the aim of generating spectacular headlines, parties have reached agreements that promise significant changes, but often obviate the crucial details that can make these commitments ineffective. One of the clearest examples is Amnesty’s promise, which has been in a symbolic act without real application.
The case of suburbs
The transfer of commuter skills is another example of how good intentions can become chaos. ERC, who had opted for a complete transfer, had to reduce his expectations by accepting shared management to prevent a labor conflict with Renfe and Adif workers.
The consequences for citizenship
Citizens are the ones who suffer the consequences of these failed negotiations. The lack of proper funding has led to the extension of the budgets in Catalonia, endangerating projects that could improve the quality of life of the population.
A reality that worsen
With each new promise incomplete, the feeling of helplessness seizes the Catalans. Public services, such as rail transport, are affected by delays and cancellations, while the middle and working classes are trapped in a system that seems to work against their interests.
A reflection on the future
After ten years of promises of independence and social improvements, Catalonia is in a critical situation. With a political system that is based on mutual fault and inefficiency, citizens begin to question the viability of their representatives. The question is: How long will the parties continue to ignore the real needs of their population before the citizens decide to make their voices heard at the polls?
