A specialized advice space
The international music festival Warm Up, which will take place at La Fica in Murcia, will have an ‘AVISA’ advice point for the second consecutive year. This point aims to provide professional attention in the event of possible situations of sexual violence during the two days of concerts. The aim is to provide attendees with a space where they can obtain information, attention and specialized advice immediately.
Specialized professionals and commitment to equality
The Ministry of Social Policy, Families and Equality will install two rotating teams, each made up of two professionals specialized in offering care and support in situations of violence. These teams will be made up of psychologists, educators and social workers, in order to guarantee specialized support.
Safe leisure and awareness
The general director of Women and Prevention of Gender Violence, Ana Belén Martínez, emphasized that the Warm Up festival will continue to be a safe leisure space committed to equality. A tent will be set up with information material to identify any type of aggression and inform about the comprehensive care services available for victims. In addition, advice will be included on the importance of raising awareness of respect and healthy and equal relationships.
Location and results of the advice point
The ‘AVISA’ advice point will be located in the information tent area, next to the health services. Last year, approximately 260 people, mostly young people between 18 and 25 years old, searched for information on this point. Ana Belén Martínez highlighted that many people came to the advice point simply to express the feeling of security that the presence of specialized professionals gave them. Fortunately, it was not necessary to provide care to victims.
