Elter.net launches a new digital platform and the City Council opens a new instant messaging channel
For months, we have been working on new ways and formats of communication to reach all the citizens of Manlleu. The City Council has decided to launch a new digital platform at Elter.net, which offers a more interactive and accessible experience for citizens. In addition, a new instant messaging channel has been opened through Whatsapp, which allows for more direct and faster communication with the City Council.
Municipal communication at the service of society
The aim of these new municipal communication actions is to improve communication between the City Council and the citizens of Manlleu. With the new digital platform and the Whatsapp channel, the aim is to facilitate access to municipal information, respond to citizens’ queries and suggestions, and encourage citizen participation in municipal affairs.
Teleassistance and support for the elderly
Another outstanding action is the teleassistance service, which allows assistance and support to the elderly in the municipality. Currently, there are 501 active telealarms in Manlleu, which offer an alarm service and support in case of emergency. This service is essential to guarantee the safety and well-being of the elderly and provide them with greater autonomy and quality of life.
Promotion of the local economy and sustainability
Manlleu City Council is also promoting the promotion of the local economy and sustainability. A second-hand store managed by the Areté Foundation has opened, selling furniture, books and decorative items, among others. This initiative contributes to reuse and responsible consumption, as well as to the promotion of the circular economy and support to the social entities of the municipality.
Culture and sport at the service of the community
In the cultural field, the Museu del Ter and the Vedruna school have opened an exhibition to commemorate the 200 years of the congregation. This exhibition will be open until June 16 and offers an opportunity to learn about the history and cultural heritage of Manlleu. In terms of sport, AEC Manlleu is close to winning the league and CP Manlleu has been eliminated in the quarter-finals of the Queen’s Cup in roller hockey.
