Torredembarra celebrates Easter with tradition and news

A diverse program for an emblematic festival

Torredembarra Easter, which will take place from April 11 to 20, promises a series of activities that merge tradition and innovation. In this edition, the events include both the traditional Viacrucis and the presentation of a new brochure that highlights the events of 2025.

Highlights of the celebration

Presentation of the brochure

On Friday, April 11 at 8 pm, the castle courtyard will host the presentation of the Easter brochure. This activity, moderated by journalist Jordi Salvat, will include a copy that will be sold at 10 euros and will include a book point with a QR code to access exclusive digital content.

Viacrucis and blessing of bouquets

On Saturday, April 12, at 9:45 p.m., there will be a viacrucis that will begin at the side door of the cemetery and will cross the Four Roads to the hermitage of Sant Antoni in Altafulla. On Sunday the 13th, the blessing of bouquets will take place in the Plaza del Castell, with a procession that will connect the church with this emblematic square.

Concerts and exhibitions

One of the most anticipated activities is the exhibition of the Bands of the Brotherhoods, which will be held on the same Sunday from 12 to 13 hours in the Plaza del Castell. The timpani bands of the various Torredembarra brotherhoods promise a vibrant show.

Processions and traditions

Collection of the Nazarene

On Wednesday, April 16, the collection of the Nazarene will be held at 19:30 in front of the Antoni Roig School, accompanied by music and a route that will culminate in the church of Sant Pere Apostle.

The procession of the Holy Burial

On Friday 18, the Holy Burial Procession, which will begin at 8pm, will be one of the highlight of the festival. This procession will tour various emblematic points of the town, including Plaça de la Vila and the butcher.

Festive closing with music and songs

The celebration will close on Sunday, April 20 with the Caramelles song of the Brotherhood of the Creu-Armats, which will take place from 12 to 13:30. This activity will represent a festive way of concluding Easter, with a route that will include the most representative streets and squares of Torredembarra.
