Toyota and its revolution with hybrid engines

A new direction for Toyota

For some time now, Toyota has decided to embark on an innovative path focused on the use of self-rechargeable hybrid engines. This technology, which in the past was considered unviable by many manufacturers, has become the fundamental pillar that has led the Japanese brand to lead global sales in the automotive industry.

The image of trust and efficiency

It is therefore obvious that most drivers around the world associate the Toyota brand with attributes such as reliability and energy efficiency. However, those who have followed Toyota’s history know that the company has always left a space in its range of vehicles for sports versions. These models are not designed primarily for efficiency, but rather to offer an exciting driving experience.

Farewell to a classic in Europe

A clear example of this sporting aspect is the Toyota GR86, a car that, unfortunately for fans of this type of vehicle, will soon disappear from European roads. The reason behind this recall is that Toyota has decided not to make the necessary modifications to comply with the new safety standards required on that continent.

GR86 continues to shine in Japan

In contrast to this European panorama, the GR86 will continue to be available without problems in its home market, Japan, where it usually registers one of the best sales performances. To celebrate this continuity, Toyota Gazoo Racing has presented two special versions of the model, called GR86 RZ and RZ Ridge Green Limited, which increase its appeal.

Unmissable editions

The RZ version will not face difficulties in its marketing, since it will not be a limited edition. However, the situation will be different for the RZ Ridge Green Limited, since Toyota has announced that only 200 units of this version will be produced. This makes many enthusiasts consider that it will become an iconic car in the future.
