Unique opportunities for the Children’s Festival in Vilafranca

Beginning of pre -registrations for the Children’s Festival

From Wednesday, interested families will be able to register their children to participate in the Festa Major dels Petits de Vilafranca, a celebration that promises emotion and fun with a total of 321 places available in 16 traditional dances.

An event full of tradition and culture

Organized by the City Council’s Culture Service and a voluntary commission, this event seeks to integrate the little ones into the rich local festive culture. Children will not only be able to participate in the dances, they will also have the option to join the hawks and the castellers groups, with unlimited places for these activities.

Priority for residents

The children registered in Vilafranca will have priority in the registrations, as well as those who have at least a parent resident in the city. Children from other localities will be able to register after the premises, subject to a draw that will determine the registration hours.

Details of the Registration Calendar

The pre -registration period will extend from May 21 to 28, with the possibility of carrying out the online procedure through the official page of the City Council. For those who prefer to do so in person, the Culture Service will be available in the slaughterhouse during specific times.

Sweepstakes and final registrations

The draw to establish the registration hours will take place on June 2. The final registrations will be made between June 4 and 5, and it will be necessary to submit documents that prove the age of the child and the pre -registration fee.

Participation regulations and criteria

To guarantee an enriching experience, participants will not be able to miss more than 25% of the scheduled trials. In addition, age criteria and physical requirements established for the different dances will be respected, which will be communicated through information leaflets distributed in schools.

Additional information

The details on the minimum and maximum ages for each dance, as well as the rehearsal calendar, can be consulted on the leaflets and the official websites of the City Council. These initiatives are organized by the dancers of the Festa Major who spend their time preparing the little ones during the summer months.

A party promoting community union

The Festa Major de los Petits de Vilafranca is not only an opportunity for fun, but also promotes social cohesion and the feeling of belonging among the youngest, creating memories that will last over the years.
