Strategic Meeting of the Municipal Government
On Wednesday, April 2, the Government of Parets del Vallès held a key meeting within the Information Commission of the Urban Planning and Territory Area. This session aimed to review the progress of various urban planning initiatives, including the works of the Central Space and projects related to the Institut Escola, the Rodalies station and the municipal pools.
Transformation of central space
The commission focused on its attention to the urbanization project of the central space, which began in January and is designed to last about a year. This important transformation aims to improve the connection between the Eixample and the Old Quarter, as well as addressing the growing demand for housing in the area.
Improvements to the municipal pool
The remodeling work of the Miquel Luque municipal pool is approaching its culmination, with an approach to updating the facilities. After improvements to the roof and structure, changes in the air conditioning have been implemented that will raise energy efficiency. Plans include the installation of solar panels that will not only reduce energy consumption, but also minimize the carbon footprint.
Works in the beach area
In addition, the works in the beach area of the discovered pool began in March, with the extension of the southern area. Work is also being carried out to improve access to the sports area, creating an accessible walk that will connect Francesc Macià Avenue with the area car parks.
Actions at the Rodalies Station
In relation to the Rodalies station, in March access was opened for residents of Avenida de l’Estació, allowing the use of its private car parks. This access, which had been restricted due to the works, will remain open until the end of June, at which time the second phase of them will begin.
Institut school project
The Institut-Escola project is advancing, with administrative procedures underway to formalize an agreement with the Department of Education of the Generalitat. Once these procedures are completed, the works will be able to begin, thus contributing to the education and development of the community.
Commitment to the community
The municipal government has pledged to maintain the informed community on the evolution of the projects, ensuring that the needs and concerns of the neighbors are considered throughout the urbanization process.
