Vibrating Pubillage Celebration in Balsareny: a bright future

A day to remember: the celebration of the pubillage

Balsareny lived an exceptional day on May 10, when the ceremony of election and proclamation of the Central Catalonia pubillage 2025 was held. The day began at nine in the morning at the Institut Escola Guillem, a space chosen to house the tests that would determine the future representatives of the region.

Candidates and jurors: a cozy process

With the participation of seventeen candidates from Anoia, Bages, Berguedà and Solsonès, the contestants, accompanied by a representative of each municipality, took on written and oral exams. Although Balsareny did not present candidates, his status as a host village allowed Gerard Capdevila and Rosario Mateo to lead the jurors that would evaluate the actions.

Preparations and collaboration

The exams, designed by a team of professionals, were an example of the collaboration between pubillation delegations. Lluïsa Coma, Dèlia Ortega and Montserrat Coromines were responsible for preparing and correcting the tests, ensuring that the process was fair and transparent.

A cohesion dinar in the castle

Following the assessment of the exams, all participants traveled to Balsareny Castle for a working lunch. This time was an opportunity to share ideas and strengthen ties between the different municipalities, with the guide of Salvador Portabella during a visit to the castle.

The parade: a tradition of tradition

At 17:30, a parade crossed the streets of Balsareny, headed by local pubs, Bika Soler and Eric Medina, as well as by local authorities. The event attracted a large audience that gathered in the Church Square, ready to enjoy a day full of tradition and culture.

Exciting moments and acknowledgments

The Pastorets dancers opened the event with a tribute dance, followed by speeches from the outgoing pubs. The thanks was the main thread of the interventions, with special mentions in the collaboration of the City Council of Balsareny and the support of the volunteers.

Proclamation of the new pubs

Lluc Grandia, delegate of Central Catalonia, read the act of proclamation. Eulàlia Casserras was chosen Pubilla 2025, accompanied by Maria Garriga and Sara Badia, while Miquel Pérez was designated as heir, with the support of Mallol Vall and Jofre Escamilla as godfathers.

A gala dinner to close the party

The day concluded with a gala dinner in the sports hall, where members of pubillage and city councils celebrated the new chapter of the pubillation in Central Catalonia. An event that has left an imprint on the community.
