A community initiative for welfare
From May 15 to May 29, the town of Vila-seca will be encouraged with the Health Week, a proposal organized by the Local Consistory together with the Santa Tecla Network. This edition, marked by the slogan “Healthy”, seeks to foster both physical and emotional health through a series of activities designed for the whole community.
Various activities for all
With a rich and varied program, Health Week will include workshops, conferences and activities that will be held in different parts of the town: Vila-seca, La Pineda and La Plana. This year, care will be especially focused on emotional health, disease prevention and the promotion of active aging.
Prominent events
Among the most important activities is the talk “Alzheimer’s today”, which will be given by Dr. Alfons Moral Pijaume, a recognized neurologist, on Thursday, May 15 at the Esplai Sant Esteve. This same talk will be repeated on Wednesday, May 21 at the Civic and Cultural Center of La Pineda.
A popular hike will take place on Monday, May 19, with simultaneous outings from the Cap Vila-seca and the Pineda’s office, to the sanctuary of the Virgin of the Pineda.
On the same day, the residents of the local residence will have the opportunity to participate in the activity “The residence goes out on the street”, attending an exhibition of figure skating in the Municipal Sports Pavilion.
On Thursday, May 22, you will find informative tents in the traveling market, where attendees will collaborate in the creation of a collective map of health assets in the town.
On Monday, May 26, the El Colomí Civic and Cultural Center will host the session “Let’s make a coffee and talk about mental health?”, With the participation of the psychologist José Antonio Sánchez and the psychiatrist Dra. Rosa Mariné, aimed at fostering open conversations on emotional health.
Finally, the Health Week will culminate on Thursday, May 29 with a talk-talk entitled “The mourning through culture”, by medical professionals, who will be held in the castle of Vila-seca.
Objectives and impact
Through this program, Vila-seca aims to promote healthy habits and strengthen social bonds among its inhabitants, thus improving the quality of life of the community. Health Week is presented as a unique opportunity for learning and reflection on the importance of comprehensive well -being.
