Reactions and violation of human rights
The foreign ministers of the European Union have agreed to request a meeting of the EU-Israel Association Council so that the country responds to respect for human rights, committed within the framework of its relations with the European Union. This request comes after the recent attacks in Gaza. The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security, Josep Borrell, announced this decision in a press conference, highlighting that it is an important step in the search for answers.
For his part, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has described the death of Palestinian civilians as a ‘tragic accident’ and has assured that the government is investigating the case. However, he has made it clear that he has no intention of ending the war until all the stated objectives are achieved.
