Vox accuses the PP of silence on illegal immigration during the election campaign

Santiago Abascal of Vox proposes ‘mass deportations’ in the face of mass and illegal immigration

The president of Vox, Santiago Abascal, has raised the need for ‘mass deportations’ in the face of massive and illegal immigration arriving in Catalonia and all of Spain. This proposal was made during a meeting in Salt (Girona), where the party has 4 councilors and where the immigrant population represents 37%, according to Idescat.

Criticism of other organizations and defense of immigrants

Abascal has criticized the Bank of Spain, the CEOE, the unions and other entities for encouraging immigration, which, according to him, generates insecurity in the neighborhoods. In addition, the leader of Vox has stated that the party defends the immigrants who arrive, but urges them to give up imposing their laws and culture, prioritizing social aid for citizens born in Spain.

Call on the PP to address issues of immigration and linguistic immersion

Abascal has urged the PP to address the issue of illegal immigration and linguistic immersion during the Catalan electoral campaign, assuring that they have not said ‘a single word’ on these issues. In addition, he has criticized the alleged obsession of the PP with Vox and has invited them to abandon events in hotels and to step on the street.

Police device and assistance at the event

The event in Salt was attended by a hundred people and was guarded by the Mossos d’Esquadra with a police device. However, no incidents were reported during the event.
