Celebrating a decade of love for animals in walls

A gala for animal protection

The dedication of the Parets Animal Protective Association is an example of indispensable commitment. On May 10, the entity commemorated its ten years of activity with a charity event at the Can Rajoler Theater, where the community joined to support those animals that have been victims of abandonment and abuse.

An institutional commitment

Francesc Juzgado, Mayor of Parets, emphasized the importance of the work carried out by the association since his birth. ‘Since 2015, our government has firmly committed to this cause, recognizing the need to improve animal protection in the municipality. In recent years, we have seen a significant increase in the quality of the service they have, thanks to the efforts of their volunteers. ‘

The vision of animal welfare

Laura Lozano, Councilor for Animal Welfare, expressed her pride in commemoration, highlighting the association as a model to follow in the region. ‘The gala has been a resounding success. The message is clear: Adopting is a responsibility that we must take on, and we must fight to eliminate animal abuse. Supporting organizations such as the Protectora is essential to achieving animal management in our municipality. ‘

Reflections of the President

David Nocelo, president of the association, recalled the successes achieved during this decade. ‘We have worked intensely and never failed. We currently have about 30 dogs and 60 cats waiting for a new home. We call on everyone to adopt instead of buying, because adopting means saving a life. ‘

An evening full of life

The gala was an event full of activities, including musical performances, trained dog exhibitions, and testimonies of volunteers and adopters. At the end of the evening, a round table was held to discuss relevant topics in the animalist world. In its ten years of existence, the association has achieved more than 4,000 adoptions and has a large group of more than 100 volunteers.

How to collaborate

Those who wish to help can contact the association through the protective email email or visit their facilities, located on La Sínia Street, 3. The commitment to animals continues, and each contribution is another step towards a more friendly and respectful future with our four-legged colleagues.
