The Student Families Association (AFA) of the El Bosc de la Papordia school demands from the administrations a plan to improve its facilities until the construction of a building that puts an end to the interning in barracks.
A super exciting educational project
In a thread on the X social network (formerly Twitter), the organization recalls that the school has been in this situation since its inception, already 16 years ago. The AFA considers that the families and the teachers have been able to take advantage of and derive income from the facilities to carry out a very successful educational project.
The need to adapt to changes
The AFA is confident that this school model can be preserved when a definitive construction is made, but at the same time warns about the impossibility of adapting to the changes with the current barracks.
The commitment of the entity
The AFA recalls that the school took advantage of some second-hand barracks and that since its inception it has dedicated resources and efforts to improve them, although the administration was not responsible. The entity regrets the lack of response from the administrations and expresses its gratitude to Girona City Council for maintaining an open communication channel, despite the lack of a specific improvement plan.
The demand for immediate improvements
The AFA calls for an improvement plan for the current facilities until the final school can be built. The organization emphasizes the need to prevent administrations from passing responsibility on to each other and calls for immediate action to guarantee a decent and quality school for students and their families.
