Trump wins Republican caucuses in Nevada and the Virgin Islands

The former president of the United States Donald Trump has won the Republican caucuses held in Nevada and the US Virgin Islands, thus consolidating several consecutive victories against Nikki Haley, who was unable to participate in this electoral appointment and has alleged that ‘ they are calling in favor of Trump’.

Trump scores a landslide victory in Nevada

The former president won in Nevada with an impressive 96.6 percent of the vote, which will give him 23 delegates to the Republican National Convention, where the candidate of the formation will be chosen for the election presidential elections this year, according to projections from the CNN television network.

Trump’s triumph in the Virgin Islands

The chairman of the Republican Party in the Virgin Islands, Gordon Ackley, has confirmed Trump’s victory in this territory with 73.98 percent of the vote to Nikki Haley’s 26.02 percent. The ex-president celebrated his victory in the Virgin Islands on his Truth Social social network account, and in which he won all the delegates.

Confusion in the Nevada elections

The elections in Nevada have been marked by a confusing situation, as primaries were held on Tuesday, in which Haley participated, and a caucus on Thursday, where delegates were awarded and in which Trump participated, from so that both candidates did not even compete with each other.

Peculiar situation in Nevada

This situation is due to the fact that a new state law required holding primaries in Nevada, but the state Republican Party continued to move forward with its old caucus system anyway. After qualifying in the primary, Haley was barred from the runoff. The ex-ambassador to the UN lost to the option ‘none of the candidates’ with 32 against 61 percent of the supports.
