A motorcyclist died this Thursday, after colliding head-on with a vehicle. The incident took place at kilometer point 1.3 of the CIV-6621, in Castell-Platja d’Aro (Baix Empordà), as reported by the Catalan Traffic Service (SCT).
The victim is a 66-year-old man, resident in Sant Feliu de Guíxols. The circumstances of the accident are still being investigated by the police. What is known is that it happened shortly after noon, as the Mossos d’Esquadra received the warning at 12.12.

To attend to the victim, five Mossos d’Esquadra patrols, two fire brigades from the Generalitat and two ambulances from the Medical Emergency System (SEM) attended the scene. The road has been closed in both directions.
