The campaign to control the use of containers
Caldes de Montbui Local Police officers have carried out a special campaign to control the use of waste containers during the second half of January. The aim was to prevent the irregular dumping of waste in certain areas where many complaints had accumulated.
Identification of infringing persons
This action has made it possible to identify five people who were illegally dumping waste in the Tint container area.
Penalties for minor offences
The penalty provided for in the municipal ordinance for these cases is 100 euros, because it is considered a minor violation of the regulations.
Infractions regarding municipal waste
The Municipal Ordinance regulating citizen coexistence and public roads considers infractions in the matter of municipal waste: depositing waste other than those indicated for each class of service; depositing waste outside a container or in a container other than the one it belongs to; deliver prohibited waste to home collection; and do not use the containers.
Other violations related to waste
Nor can waste be delivered without a bag and/or without compaction; treat or manipulate the containers; leave waste in places, times and conditions not allowed; depositing in the selective collection containers materials other than those specified or breaching the rules of waste disposal.
Penalties for other violations
Finally, it is also punishable not to respect the timetables of the furniture collection service or to leave junk or other bulky items outside the established days or places; do not leave the cardboard stacked and folded in front of the business, the businesses attached to the collection service; nor move the containers from their location.
