Call for a solution and elections

Commons spokesman appeals to prison unions

David Cid, spokesman for the commons, has called on the prison unions to accept the hand extended by the Minister of Justice, Gemma Ubasart. Cid affirms that it is the time for solutions and not for making other decisions. During his visit to the Cornellà de Llobregat river festival, Cid expressed his concern for the situation of the inmates, who have spent many days in a difficult situation and many of them have spent many days without leaving their cells .

Lack of leadership in the prison conflict

Cid has also criticized the lack of leadership of the president of the Generalitat, Pere Aragonès, in the prison conflict. He has accused him of being missing and of having left the counselor alone. According to Cid, this is another sign of ERC’s lack of leadership and direction.

Elections as an opportunity to decide the future of Catalonia

Regarding the advanced call for elections, Cid believes that it will be an opportunity to decide which Catalonia we want. According to him, these elections are about what model of country the Catalans want. The challenges of the commons focus on housing, education, health and renewable energy.

Criticism of the ERC and the PSC

Cid has criticized ERC for not having been able to face the country’s challenges during this legislature. He believes that the solution cannot be to return to the old policies of the past that the PSC is proposing today. He has accused Salvador Illa of proposing an old and outdated model from the 1990s with proposals such as a motorway, an airport and a large casino.

Answer to the statements of Aragonès

Cid has responded to Aragonès’ statements in which he assured that in the next elections it will be necessary to decide between a president for Catalonia or a delegate from Moncloa. He has accused Aragonès of being the one who has acted as a delegate of the central government in Catalonia and of buying the PSC model.
