Querol starts the renovation works of the downstream water network in the center of Bonany, the nearby farmhouses and Valldossera
Recently, Querol has launched an important project to improve the town’s water infrastructure. The works have focused on the renewal of the water network in the town of Bonany, as well as the nearby farmhouses and Valldossera. The main objective of this initiative is to improve water management and solve the problems detected in recent years.
A new layout to guarantee a better distribution of water
To carry out this renovation, a new route has been built that connects with the Bonany reservoir. This will allow a better distribution of the water and avoid problems such as leaks or blockages caused by lime accumulated in the old pipes.
European grants to make the project possible
Querol City Council has sought funding through the Generalitat Presidency grants. This initiative is part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and is supported by European Next Generation funds. The project has received a subsidy of 103,002 euros, which represents 80% of the total budget.
It should be noted that this is not the only project presented by Querol City Council to opt for European funds. A proposal has also been presented in response to the climate emergency call, with the aim of carrying out maintenance tasks and establishing new protection zones in urban areas and population centers. In this case, the result of the call has not yet been announced.
