Farmers summoned to new vindictive actions

Farmers are called this Tuesday to new vindictive actions, with rallies and slow marches at points such as Mercabarna, the Port of Tarragona, the transversal axis or the N-II in Santa Llogaia d’Àlguema and Orriols, among others.

On Monday morning, dozens of tractors already blocked the A-2 and partially interrupted traffic on the AP-2 in Soses.

Road closures in Barcelona and Catalonia

In the regions of Barcelona, ​​tractors coming from the regions of Baix Llobregat and Anoia will cut off access to Mercabarna around 9.00 am. The columns will leave at 7:00 a.m. from Igualada, at 8:15 a.m. from Sant Boi de Llobregat and at 8:45 a.m. from Prat de Llobregat, via the A-2.

Several columns of tractors from the demarcation of Tarragona and Lleida will meet at the Port of Tarragona from 10.00 am. In Camp de Tarragona, the columns will leave from Valls (8:30 a.m.), Reus (9:00 a.m.) and El Morell (9:30 a.m.); in the Terres de l’Ebre, the farmers will meet in Gandesa (6.30 a.m.), l’Aldea (7.00 a.m.), Móra la Nova (7.30 a.m.) and Falset (8.00 a.m.); finally, the tractors will converge simultaneously at 7.30 a.m. in Lleida, Les Borges Blanques and Tàrrega.

The farmers of Gironella (8:00 a.m.) and Vic (9:30 a.m.) plan to cut the C-25 or transversal axis.

In the regions of Girona, the tractors will cut off the crossing of the AP-7 with the N-II in Pontós. The columns to get there will leave at 7.00 am from Orriols and from Santa Llogaia d’Àlguema.

Prediction of affects

Apart from the road closures mentioned, there are planned slow marches and cuts to other roads in Barcelona, ​​Tarragona, Terres de l’Ebre, Girona and other areas of Catalonia.

For example, slow travel is expected on the N-340, A-2, B-20 and B-250 from Anoia, Penedès and Baix Llobregat to Mercabarna.

In Tarragona and Terres de l’Ebre, slow traffic is expected on the N-240 and A-27 from the Conca de Barberà and Alt Camp to the Port of Tarragona.

In addition, there are other expected impacts on several roads in Girona, Barcelona and other areas of Catalonia.
