Sansa takes steps to limit the construction
Today, Sansa signed the decree temporarily suspending construction licenses, which was published in the BOPA this afternoon. This one-year moratorium has been taken after the analysis of the load capacity studies. According to Sansa, water is not the limiting element as initially thought, but rather the purifier. To prevent a collapse, a new collector needs to be built. This task will be the responsibility of the executive, while the corporation will continue to look for new water catchments. According to the representative, these works will require a year and a half to start.
Revision of the town planning plan
This measure marks the beginning of the revision process of the town plan, which will last a year. The Consul Major has emphasized that the last two years have experienced excessive growth and it is necessary to limit construction. However, construction on consolidated land will be allowed, but new partial plans will not be allowed. So far, only one or two partial plans have been authorized in the first four months of this year.
Measure support
The councilors of Amb Seny have expressed their support for this measure, considering it necessary. While some feel it’s late, they believe it’s better late than never. They hope that there will be enough time to draw up a new urban development plan. It has also been highlighted that the moratorium should have been applied before licenses were granted during the first months of the year.
Adaptation of the Pal shooting range
In addition, an extraordinary credit of 92,000 euros has been approved for the adaptation of the Pal shooting range for the Small States Games in 2025. The work will have a total cost of 292,000 euros, of which 200,000 euros will be contributed by Andorran Olympic Committee.
Results from the Pal Arinsal station
The Consul Major has acknowledged the poor results of the Pal Arinsal resort this winter, with a 12% decrease in ski days sold. He emphasized that in conditions of little snow, the best quality is found in Ordino Arcalís. Despite this, he praised the technical teams for leaving the tracks in the best possible conditions and expressed the need to work more on marketing for the next season.
