TV3: The World of Emotions and Celebrities

The Meeting of the Catalans

TV3 is a space that opens its doors to hundreds of thousands of Catalans every day, offering information, laughter and also moments of sadness. It’s like life itself, both for its audience and for the workers who make it possible.

EN Blau: The World of Celebrities

EN Blau has become the benchmark for Catalan celebrities for seven years. TV3 brings together the largest number of celebrities from the star system: presenters, journalists, comedians, commentators, talk shows, actors… They all share their workplace at TV3, and many of them find love.

Loves and Heartbreaks

IN Blau has been an exclusive witness of how couples have been formed on TV3, such as Jordi Gil and Patrícia Centeno, or how marriages have been celebrated, such as that of TN reporters Carla Riverola and Aitor Álvarez. It has also been the place where stories of paternity and motherhood have been revealed, whether through natural means, adoption or surrogacy, as in the case of Eloi Cordomí and her husband, a rural doctor named Xavi.

However, not everything is rosy on a personal level. Sometimes, love ends and couples break up. Drama comes when small children are involved. This is the case of a couple who fell in love on TV3 while working on the soap opera La Riera: the renowned playwright David Plana and one of the most beloved actresses, Estel Solé.

A New Reality

Estel Solé, 37, and David Plana, 54, now must learn to live without a partner and raise their two children. The youngest daughter is 4 years old and the oldest is 8 years old. The marriage has come to an end, and while any divorce is traumatic, it is even more so when young children are involved. The same actress and writer, Estel Solé, has shared her experience in an article published in the supplement of fathers and mothers with children of the newspaper Ara.

A Strong and Courageous Woman

Estel Solé not only stands out for her talent playing various roles on screen, but also for being a talker and opinion giver herself. Her presence has been essential in television programs such as Tot es mou, alongside renowned figures such as Cuní, Rahola and Jaume Barberà. In addition, she has participated as a talk show host on Xavier Sardà’s program on TVE, where she even confronted the monarchist Màrius Carol about the king’s alleged actions. Recently, we have been able to see it on the TV3 program Planta baixa. She defines herself as an actress and writer and has written a deeply moving article.

A New Reality

In her own words, Estel Solé says: ‘I am now a divorced mother and my family has had to adapt and reinvent itself. No one prepares you for a divorce. When you separate, the first thing you think is: what will happen to our children? How will we tell them? How will they accept it? Sadness is like a muddy swamp that swallows you up… Prolonging a marriage just to keep the family together and make the children happy is a mistake. Everything falls apart: love, security, family organization, strength, hope, home… You feel devastated and, at the same time, you cannot be a good mother because you do not even feel like a person. The guilt that has accompanied you since the day you gave birth to your first child becomes a monster that haunts your little ones’ worst nightmares. There are days when you allow them to watch television, breaking all your educational principles, just to have five minutes to lock yourself away and cry silently in your room. You learn to fight the pain of not seeing them for too many days, you try hard to keep your composure in front of them, but at the same time you allow yourself to be vulnerable and tell them ‘Mom is sad today’. A generous, healing and essential article. Estel Solé, a great woman.
