Civil Protection activates the alert for emanation of vapors in Castellbisbal
The authorities have evacuated two companies in the Can Estapé industrial estate in Castellbisbal, Barcelona, after the presence of hydrogen sulphide and hydrocyanic acid vapors was detected.
Action of the Fire Department of the Generalitat
The Fire Department of the Generalitat intervened with 5 crews to address the situation and located a pool that gave off high readings of these chemicals.
Although the gases detected do not represent a health hazard, it has been decided to evacuate the two companies as a preventive measure.
Alert activated by Plaseqcat
Civil Protection has reported that it has activated the Plaseqcat alert at the company Pàrquing Service Castellbisbal, where the emanation of vapors has occurred. The staff has been evacuated and there has been no impact on the outside beyond the smells.
