The fire started last night and destroyed part of the Enmar campsite in Pineda de Mar

A voracious fire broke out tonight in one of the sides of the Enmar campsite in Pineda de Mar, on Carrer Barcelona, and consumed seventeen bungalows, a vehicle that was outside the site and partially or totally affected more than thirty other bungalows. The Generalitat Fire Department mobilized sixteen land units to put out the flames, which were active until a quarter past one in the morning. The campsite, which was closed because the tourist season had not yet started, did not require any evacuation. The causes that originated the fire are unknown, which is being investigated by the competent authorities.

An award-winning campsite that had to reopen for Easter

The Enmar campsite, which has more than 300 pitches and various services and facilities, was supposed to resume its activity next week, coinciding with the Easter holidays. This campsite has been awarded several times for its quality and sustainability, and is in great demand among national and foreign tourists. Those in charge of the campsite have regretted the damage caused by the fire and have thanked the firefighters and emergency services for their work. They have assured that they will work to restore normality as soon as possible and be able to offer safe and comfortable accommodation to their customers.
